WirelessTrips.com Campground Review: Lakeside RV Park - Livingston, Louisiana
Cell Phone Coverage: Yes
Wi-Fi: Yes
Our first impression of this park wasn’t great. All we saw were RVs and almost no trees. But, on entering the park (which was incredibly crowded!), we realized that many of the sites surround a lake. The lake has good fishing and even geese…but it didn’t smell that great. Regardless, the children had fun fishing. They didn’t have much luck with hot dogs, but other children were catching lots of fish with biscuit dough.
There were dozens, if not hundreds of children here. Many were riding their bikes and scooters along the winding pavement that takes you through the park. It reminded me of cruising as a teenager…but all these kids were on two wheels. Ali and Frank had a great time here so it’s a good place for children.
There was a real party atmosphere and lots of people were out, sitting by the campfires and chatting. Some of the music was too loud, but things quieted down around midnight. The laundry facilities were large, very clean, and inexpensive ($1 for wash and $1 for dry). I washed and dried four loads and didn’t have to wait for an empty washer or dryer, even though the park was pretty full.
The wi-fi was very good here. We’ll come back here if we’re passing through again.
Three out of five marshmallows.
