WirelessTrips.com Campground Review: Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA - Fredericksburg, Virginia

Wi-Fi yes, but very poor service
Cell Phone coverage no

When we arrived here, we were impressed by the vast canopy of trees. We really were deep in the woods hereso deep that we didnt have any cell coverage. Luckily, they had wi-fi, but it was very poor. We asked them to put us close to the main building, but they said the spots were all reserved for the weekend (we were there for three nights). Why they couldnt just switch us with someone else, I dont know.

Richard had to rig up his antenna to try to get a better connection, but we had continuous outages during the entire stay and the connection was very slow. Quite disappointing and almost more trouble than it was worth.

Thered been a fire here in one of their buildings, but they had everything available in other buildings (bathroom and game room). There was a small pool and a pond. Frank made a friend but Ali wanted to stay close to the RV during this stop.

My main complaint, other than the poor wi-fi service, was the rocks they use for gravel at the campsites here. You cant step outside your door barefoot without getting a stone bruise. I dont know who decided to use sharp, jagged, pointed rocks as gravel, but it wasnt a good idea. I had to put my shoes on just to get a soda out of the cooler or to do anything at all. That was a pain. It shouldnt hurt to walk barefoot at your campsite.

We probably wont ever return to this place, so well give it two out of five marshmallows.
