Crappy Dinner, Average Lunch, Great Boat Ride!
Our first night in The Dells (in Wisconsin) we ate at Marley’s. If you come here, don’t bother. We weren’t impressed. The service was okay, the food wasn’t great, and the only fun thing was that they gave Max unlimited numbers of drink umbrellas.
This morning, we woke up and it was raining pretty hard. So, we worked and Max and Mason watched TV in their jammies. We ordered pizza from the Moose Jaw Brew Pub for lunch and a vehicle arrived at the campground that had a huge moose on the roof. Max really liked that. The pizza was average. Not much flavor. And, they messed up Richard’s toppings. My favorite pizza is Papa Gambino’s in Bangor so I always compare other pizza sauce to theirs.
By late afternoon, it had cleared up and the sun came out so we headed to town to try out the Wisconsin Army Ducks. It’s a really fun boat ride! They don’t have seat belts so it’s a bit scary driving down the highway in the “boat.” We hit a bump at one point and I almost dropped Mason. I hadn’t brought the baby pouch so I put him inside my shirt to keep him from flying out of my arms.

His little head was sticking out and he was happy. I looked a bit funny, but just ignored the odd stares coming from the other (rude) passengers. The ride was one of the highlights of our visit to the Dells so we highly recommend going if you visit.
After dinner at Wally’s House of Embers (nothing to shout about there, either), we parked, walked downtown, and went to a 4D movie.

It scared Max. Mason was nursing and would just look up with curiosity each time watch squirted on him.
It only lasted 15 minutes. Max and I had some Dippin’ Dots. We love those things! We used to have a Dippin’ Dots kiosk at the Bangor Mall but it closed up a couple of years ago so we can’t get them except when we’re traveling now. By the time we got home, the boys were exhausted and went right to sleep. We, on the other hand, had to get back to work. Thankfully, our naughty neighbors were quiet.
