Wi-Fi Yes
Cell phone access - Yes

This campground is large, organized, and clean. I was kind of put off by the lady working at the front gate when we arrived. She reminded me of the hall monitor in grade school. She said she had to be able to see our tag at all times and that it had to hang from our rearview mirror. Problem is, our registration sticker from Maine is attached to the windshield in that spot. I tried to explain to her that we cant remove our cars registration sticker. She put her hand under her chin and repeated herself. She finally agreed to let us put it on the dashboard. I thought that conversation was unprofessional, unnecessary and not at all welcoming.

They put us in a row that is surrounded by other camping families. There are LOTS of children here, which is great. We certainly fit right in. But, I noticed many unsupervised children. I wouldnt let my five-year-old wander around a campground unsupervised, and I saw lots of unsupervised children wandering here. There was one little girl at the pool who asked Ali if shed help her swim. She said she didnt know how and she was five years old. Her mother had let her go to the pool with a teenage boy (we dont know if it was her brother or not) and he left her on the side of the pool. No life jacketnothing. Ill say it againwhat IS it with some parents?! And, the campground, while it did have two lifeguards on duty, shouldnt allow young children to swim without a parent there with them. Some parents think lifeguards are babysittersbut most lifeguards assume that unsupervised kids, when allowed to go to the pool, know how to swim.

The fishing pond here is well-stocked. Ali and Frank lost count of the number of fish they caught. The only problem is the area around this side of the pond smells heavily of sewage. It was nauseating. They have a problem with drainage here (theres a sign that says that part of the park floods in wet weather), but they really should do something about the smell. Luckily, the smell doesnt reach our campsite here.

I stopped by the campground store to mail some bill payments and three employees were chatting instead of working. They made me wait five minutes (even looked at me several times while I stood at the register) before one of them helped me. I wonder if I look like one of those people who has nothing better to do than stare at a wall? I’ll be sure to put that incident on the campground review card they gave us when we checked in. Their prices are pretty inflated. We paid $3 for a box of 9 garbage bagsand they dont even have pull-ties on the top!

Other than the unfortunate events above, our stay here was pleasant. There are soooo many birds! Max really liked that. Some even landed right on our picnic table while Max was sitting there. Hes start talking to them in his toddler chatter and theyd look at him before flying away. There are lots of planned activities for children. This campground really caters to young children. And, the wi-fi access through Linkspot was excellent. No problems with it at all.

Two out of five marshmallows.
