Beach BBQ
We spent yesterday and today with my sister, Autumn, and her husband, Dave. We had an outstanding lunch at Sugarloaf Cafe at the Morehead City Waterfront in North Carolina today. If you find yourself near Morehead City, you absolutely must drop by and order their Sweet Potato Quesadillas. I told the waiter we were from Maine so he was kind enough to share the ingredients with us. The dish was definitely one of the oddest ones we’ve ever eaten, and also one of the tastiest.
We stopped by a local shop and bought the children some goodies and also picked up some postcards for our friends and family back home. We then drove to the grocery store to pick up supplies for our Beach BBQ tonight. We’re having baby back ribs, chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, and Texas toast…in remembrance of where we all lived before we moved north.
We’re leaving in the morning and heading south once again. Where will we be sleeping tomorrow night? Check back here to find out.
