2007 Wisconsin State Fair
On Saturday, we put on some light summer clothes and ventured out to the Wisconsin State Fair. We had to stop and buy a stroller first and the boys and I watched Richard assemble it in the parking lot of Target, amidst his grumbling and maybe a mumbled four-letter-word or two.
The kids had a great time at the fair while the adults sweated buckets. It was pretty hot! Mason got, and quickly dropped his very first snowcone!
He enjoyed it…

…while it lasted.

Among all the food concessions, I looked all over for something new and different to eat. I finally found it! I had a duck fajita and ostrich jerky. Both were excellent! And, no, because I know you’re probably goingto ask. I didn’t get a famous Wisconsin cream puff. I don’t like cream puffs.
There were lots of farm animals for the children to see and even some poop for their shoes to find. Mason’s cheeks were pretty red and he was drinking bottled water like it was soda pop. So, I was putting water on his head to cool him off.

Richard and I begged off earlier than the others and left around mid-afternoon. We bought Max a souvenir horn on the way out and he blew it all the way back to the car, which was several blocks away. When we got back to the car, the horn “mysteriously disappeared.”
That night, we had dinner with Scott and then went to Chris’s apartment for awhile. The guys had fun catching up while Max got a kick out of Chris’s German cuckoo clock.
